The Photonics Catalyst Program (PCP) provides South Australian manufacturers commercial and technical feasibility assessments of their projects and up to $45,000 worth of research and development services. Funding supports projects such as prototype development, photonic device testing and the adoption of light-based technologies. The PCP is delivered through the University of Adelaide’s Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS), a global hub of industry-linked photonics research. IPAS and the broader photonics base in South Australia is driving the development of technologies in defence, medicine, agriculture and food, mining, construction and forestry.
